Ernie's Kings
Mill- Greek Night Ernie's Kings Mill - Greek Night OPA! Those who attended Greek Night were treated to hospitality extraordinaire, provided by hosts, Sam, Marlaina, Christ and Michael Backos. The menu selection was outstanding, with entrees to tempt even the most discerning palate. The evening's special 'Greek Feast' was filled with traditional selections that included: succulent lamb chops, pastitso, avgolemeno soupa, flaming saganaki, village salad, spanakopita and for dessert, loukomathes and galaktoburiko. The wait staff was dressed in ancient Greek garb; togas and garlanded wreaths twined as crowns to complete their costumes. Certainly, the spirit of the gods was among those who participated. Especially satisfying was how families could be seated but felt comfortable to move about the smoke free dining area greeting one another. The casual atmosphere really worked well and guests were able to mingle freely. It was like hosting a private party, with all the trimmings but with out the work or responsibility. After dinner, the younger crowd migrated to the inviting bar area, listening to DJ's Dennis, Chilly and Panos spin current hits from Greece. Marlaina Backos advises that Ernie's has a tradition to uphold and that every effort is being made to make the venue an exciting destination.
