He has been producing sculptures since 1984 at his workshop in Athens and his home town. He is considered one of Greece's foremost sculptors; and his art work is on exhibition in many towns and private homes both in Greece and Europe. Christo Jewelry was started January 2005 after many years of discussion and finally persuasion with friends in Greece who have sold Gerochristo, Koukos, Evangelatos and Stefi jewelry for many years. Agrinio happens to be the hometown of both Gerochristo and Papasaikas, so there is a natural, friendly and almost family like co-operation. In July 2006 we met with Vasillis Papasaikas and decided to accept an offer to be the exclusive representation of his work in North America.
